  Steak Dinner Fund Raiser 2011

Rotary Club of Garden Grove Annual Steak Dinner Reverse Raffle Fundraiser
Here is the deal.  A single ticket entitled the bearer to dinner for two and a chance at a hugh drawing.  Every ticket won something; it might have been two nights at the Marriott Hotel in Newport Beach or it might have been a potted plant.  The last five standing competed for a grand prize of $2,500.00.  Sales were limited to 100 tickets.

Celibraties! We had them.  Mayor Bill Dalton, home town girl Supervisor Janet Nguyen, a bank president, a former mayor, newspaper publishers and others all  helped with the fundraising.  Miss Garden Grove Teen, Jazmin Avalos, and Miss Garden Grove, Bree Morse raised $1,000 in a separate 50-50 raffle.

Interact Clubs are high school service clubs, sponsored Rotary.  Our club sponsors three clubs, one each at Bolsa, Garden Grove and Pacifica High Schools.  These clubs were right in there helping us.  Thank you guys.  We valued your help greatly.

Unofficially, we raised $8,500.00 for various local club projects such as placing AEDs in public areas, clean drinking water for a small community in Mexico, scholarships for local school students.

It was a lot of fun, a win-win event.  Don't miss it next year!
